Bible Study

What The Women Saw

August 29 - October 10, 2022

6:30-8:00pm

Do women matter to the kingdom of God?

Jesus was surrounded by both men and women during his ministry on earth. He saw, valued, and cared for women, and he still does today. Each one of us has a significant role.

Through this six-session study, you will discover who Jesus is through the unique perspective of women in the Bible. As you study the lives of Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene and others, you will learn from their faith and failures and be reminded that Jesus cared for and valued the women he was surrounded by. He equipped them, listened to them, walked with them, healed them, and empowered them. And he does the same for you now.

Amos, An Invitation to the Good Life

August 30 - October 18, 2022

9:00-11:00am

We will be starting a new 8 week Bible Study on August 30.  The material will be a study written by Jennifer Rothschild entitled...Amos, an Invitation to the Good Life.  Amos is often called a prophet of doom. And when you begin to read his prophecy, it doesn’t take long to realize that nickname fits. On the surface, his prophecy doesn’t sound like a happy formula for the good life. However, every condemnation he gives serves as an invitation, a cry for us to “seek God and live” (Amos 5:4). You’ll be invited to live assured, faithful, chosen, humble, justly, prayerful, and hopeful. This kind of living will bring us and others around us peace and true prosperity.

Amos is promoting the God life, and, the God life is the good life!

We will meet from 9:00-11:00 am in the Underground.  The books will be available for purchase at our first meeting for $17 each.  Child care will be available with a reservation to  sandyp.srcc@gmail.com.  Hope to see you there on August 30, 9:00 am   If you have questions, contact Sue Hunt at suehunt721@gmail.com
